Stony Brook University Launches Innovative Master's Program in Political Psychology

Stony Brook University is set to launch a new Master of Arts (MA) in Political Psychology, beginning in Fall 2025. This cutting-edge graduate program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the intersection between psychology and political behavior. Students will have the unique opportunity to study at one of the foremost institutions specializing in this dynamic field.

The program will be housed within the Department of Political Science, where students will engage with a curriculum that explores the psychological underpinnings of political decision-making, public opinion, and voter behavior. The faculty consists of leading experts who bring a wealth of knowledge and research experience to the classroom.

By integrating theoretical frameworks with practical applications, the MA in Political Psychology aims to equip graduates with the skills necessary for careers in academia, government, non-profit organizations, and the private sector. This initiative reflects Stony Brook's commitment to fostering interdisciplinary studies and addressing contemporary societal challenges through the lens of political psychology.
